Taking it to the people

Fox News reports that the Bush Administration is going to take its case for the NSA warrantless wiretaps to the American people.

"We are stepping up our efforts to educate the American people," White House spokesman Scott McClellan said about Bush's trip to the NSA, based at Fort Meade in Maryland."This is a critical tool that helps us save lives and prevent attacks," he said. "It is limited and targeted to Al Qaeda communications, with the focus being on detection and prevention."

This is great news, of course. And it's necessary. If Average Joe is left with the impression the msm leaves over these wiretaps, he will most likely come to believe that his every phone call is being listened in on by the police state and that our president should be impeached.
