Blogger problem troubleshooting
I've been mindful of my previously stated problems with Blogger. If you're a regular reader you know that my blog crashed and since republishing, I am unable to publish my blogroll. I've thought about buying a subscription to another platform. But I'm resistant to that because then I'd have to change my specific URL.
BowieNet (of which I am a member) realized that this blog thing is getting big and that if they didn't get on board with the program, they'd likely lose subscribers for other new kinds of Internet communities that blogs create. Unfortunately, BowieNet's blog platform is not sophisticated enough to migrate my Blogger archives into a new BowieNet blog. So that's a non-starter.
Now I'm participating in a forum for Blogger. I am registered as pinky. Drop in and take a look at this discussion if you think you can help me, won't you?

I originally started with Blogger:

However, it had limitations that I didn't like. I switched to Typepad, the subscription service particularly, and have been pretty pleased with it. It allows me to do the things I like to do, but, I will warn, some of it's not terribly easy to do. I've been programming various languages for a long time, so most of it was simply re-learning the Typepad way. But, I'd hate trying to start from scratch. If you're fairly comfortable hard-coding, Typepad, for the price and ease of use, is a good deal. They have recently merged with LiveJournal, I'm waiting to see what changes that brings.
Excellent Board, Pink.

Now that my glitch has been solved in Blogger, I intend to stay here. But thanks very much for the thumbnail sketch of TypePad. Needless to say, I learned from my previous crash to back up all the code for my template customizations.
Thank you for complimenting my blog, Moon. Now that my blogroll is back, it will be more fun to build my blog up, although I doubt I'll be creating multiple pages. I noticed that you have a link to Seinfeld, just as I did in my pre-crash period. I'm a little backed up now, so it will be fun to put up all the stuff I want to express.
